VA Community Care

Eligible Veterans referred through the VA Community Care Network can receive acupuncture with us. When your care is authorized by the VA, there is no cost to you. We'll help coordinate the referral and authorization.

We're in-network with UnitedHealthcare and Optum Physical Health. Acupuncture benefits vary by individual plan — contact us and we'll verify exactly what yours covers.

Don't see your plan? Many plans reimburse a portion of out-of-network acupuncture. Use the checklist below when you call your insurance, then generate a summary to keep for your reimbursement claim.
Out-of-Network Benefits
How to check your out-of-network benefits:
  1. Call the member services number on the back of your insurance card.
  2. Say: "I'd like to verify my out-of-network benefits for outpatient acupuncture."
  3. Work through the questions below and type the answers as you go.
  4. Before hanging up, get the representative's name and a call reference number.
  5. Click Create My Benefits Summary — it builds a clean summary of just what you entered.
